Great piece. As a consultant, I saw many business owners who were their own worst enemies. They really didn't get it and shouldn't have been in business in the first place. And they were arrogant and thought they were right and everyone else was wrong.

As a buisness owner, I was working on the long term. I wanted to business to continue and succeed when I was gone. I ran it for 17 years before retiring. It is now in its 5th year without me. Guess I succeeded, a good thing because there are still 3.5 years of equity payments due me.
