I am amazed at how attached we get to our furry friends. We have our fourth and he is starting to get a little gray and is slowing down a bit. I try not to think what it would be without him. We have our time every morning when he wakes up and greets me to start our day. I get kisses and he gets treats. He can be in one room and come rushing out to see me, tail wagging ang acting like we haven't seen each other in months instead of minutes or hours. But he will go someday just like our previous 3. I will miss him but know I will see him again someday. How can something so pure and loving not be in my afterlife. While we are not planning to replace him (at least not now) it is fine that anyone who loves their pet will get another and give it the same love they did for the one gone. There are so many wonderful animals who need love and care and who better to give it to them than a true lover and caretaker?
