I am in the empty calendar camp. Filling it up with non important things doesn't make you important or busy. It makes you irritable and unproductive. I always found time to meet and talk with my reports. It was the most satisfying and productive of times. Going to meetings were for the most part a waste. Spent much time and got little done. So much for corporate life.
