I did something like that myself. I would either come in before anyone else, or I would literally go home and block any calls or messages to focus on my work and ignore all distractions. It worked great and i got things done.

Being in an office environment makes this difficult. But if you can close your office and turn off all phones and emails it is possible. Or find private space where your people can work without being distracted.

It will help and they will enjoy it.
