I have had a number of "failures" in my career and life. While I didn't plan them or look forward to them, I definitely learned from them,

I hate to lose. Not that I am a bad loser, but I would rather win. Knowing I cannot all of the time, I learn from my loss so that I improve my odds of winning the next time.

Does losing provide a better lesson than winning. Not always. Learning from winning provides valuable lesson too. Combined, they should set you well on your way to a better life.
