I have had the opportunity to travel abroad. It is indeed eye opening. And when I return back to the U.S. the most welcome sound is when I pass through Customes and the person there says "Welcome home". It is the greatest thing of all. Despite all of our faults, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
