In a recent podcast I did (The courage to Lead), I discussed this exact issue. It takes courage to make decisions, especially when they go against the flow or "common thought or wisdom". A good leader makes his choice and then sticks by it. He / she owns it. If it is wrong, fix it. If it is right celebrate with yourself and move on. One hates a bad winner as much as a sore loser.
