In my first job after graduating from college, I had a bos who told all of the departments I worked with that they could not talk to me about working for them. When I found out about this I went to HR, who did nothing about it. That wa my first encounter with finding out how worthless HR could be. So, I found a new job outside the company and left.

I found throughout my career that unless you pitch for yourself, chances are no one else will do it for you.
