It really depends on the situation. I have been in many situations where a person droned on, adding little or nothing to the topic or conversation at hand. If you as the head of the meeting can help to direct that person it can move things along. A few well placed questions about what they are covering as relates to the topic at hand can both gain new information and keep things moving. No, 10 minutes of your life is not a lot in and of itself. But repeat that many times and it becomes a big deal. And it either fosters continued bad behavior and/or resentment by others about a waste of time. You really don’t want either of those things to occur.
