Leaders have to be flexible. While you style may be democratic, there are times that the situation does not allow for that. but that you have to may a decision and go with it. No time for a vote. So you do. You can explain what and why later and you should. As a good leader you need to realize this and adapt to the situation. If not, circumstances will rule you and not the other way around.
