Personally I hate politics. It is an art of compromising on things you believe in for things you do not. Happens in life and certainly in the corporate world. I did not play well in and with it. I still did well, but never became one of the chosen. And when my time was up, politics got me.

That is the danger of politics. On top one day, on the heap the next. I saw and heard people talking about others behind their backs. Figured that was probably happening to me too.

When I started my own enterprise, I allowed and tolerated no politics. Made me a happier person and life was easier. Did others play the political game? Probably. I just wasn't involved and ignorance of it was bliss.
