That is natural. I did it too. But then, sit back and logically think about the situation. It is here, what can i do to mitigate it so the impact is reduced? Cut spending. Find other means of income. Help others worse off than I. You are now turning something very negative into positive steps. The other things happened to you. That is done. What you do about it is now under your control. Make the plan and work it. You will be better for it.
