Retirement certainly is a change in lifestyles. I am now retired for 5 years and the transition has worked out well but it was mentally hard at first. As relieved as I was to get away from the daily grind, you are caught up and miss it at first. No more. I then got really busy with writing, speaking, teaching and trying different things. People think I'm crazy when I say I am retired as I am so busy. And plenty of time to do fun things like travel, kayaking and socializing. Financially, I get money from my company equity. Will go another 3 years and then I tap into retirement funds. Have 2 great advisers and I think we are pretty set. So all in all pretty good. Realize not the same for everyone, but for us all is good.
