So, so, so, so true. This article states what I have felt for many years. As a young inexperienced professional I thought it was so cool and important to be invited to meetings. Then, over time I realized that many were such a waste of time and I had to spend longer days to get done what I could have except for those blasted meetings. And so i vowed to reduce them for myself and any of my employees. We both appreciated it and got so much more accomplished. If you don’t control your time and priorities, you will cede it over to everone else. And there can be no complaints, because you allowed it to happen.
