The trick in managing an overachiever is to not discourage their great work, but to let them be busy without hurting themselves or others.

Giving them special assignments can help you both as you know the work will get done and done well.

But make sure they take time off from work and get R&R as well. Stressing that such is important to them, you and the company can help to keep them well and productive.
