Unfortunately I have seen these things close up and too often. In most cases I left because of them. In others I waited it out but eventually things changed and I was rid of the poor boss.

Sadly, there are a lot of bad bosses out there. If and when you get a good one cherish that person. They are a rare find in a sea of not so good.
