We in the US do not hate immigrants. We are a nation of immigrants, a melting pot of cultures. What we hate are those who enter our country illegally. at last count some 20 million. They should not be here and are causing many problems. If they wish to come here, do so legally. Otherwise, you are not welcome. As for Ireland, I think they do not want that to happen there. Many other countries are also concerned. They see what is happening here and do not want the same.
